“Building on the Small Moments of Self-Care”
Self-Care Assessment and Daily Attention Diary Introduction

We celebrate and honor the daily investment that Veteran caregivers make each day to support the health and wellbeing of our nations’ Veterans.  This daily effort can take a toll on your wellbeing.  Our intention is to help you offset the toll your caregiving efforts can take, by developing materials to assist you in paying closer attention to you.  Moments of restoration can be achieved when you make them a daily priority.

To begin, please review and complete a self-assessment to reflect on your current stress and the activities you engage in to balance the stress.  For the initial self-assessment and introduction to our month long exercise that encourages daily attention to you “Building on the Small Moments of Self-Care,” click here: Self-Care Assessment and Daily Attention Diary Overview (PDF)

There are 4 weeks of daily self-care reflections and activities provided in the links below. Each week provides a daily prompting of activities or reflections that we hope will encourage and inspire you to return your caring attention back to you.

We hope that these materials assist you in feeling moments of restoration.  See for yourself!  Give yourself the gift of a month filled with daily small moments of attention to you.  See the impact this commitment may have on your well-being.

At the completion of this month long activity, review and complete a follow-up assessment so that you may review your progress and identify your goals moving forward in the “Building on the Small Moments of Self-Care” Post Month Self-Care Reflection Worksheet (PDF)
