Happy Volunteer Week

The Caregiver Support Program (CSP) Peer Support Mentoring (PSM) Program connects dedicated Caregiver Mentors with those seeking guidance in their caregiving journey. PSM offers caregivers a unique opportunity to receive guidance and share their wealth of experience with fellow caregivers. PSM fosters connections between caregivers, creating a comforting support network.

Happy Volunteer Week to our PSM Volunteers – a message from Colleen M. Richardson, Psy.D - Executive Director, Caregiver Support Program

Dear Cherished Caregiver Volunteers,

As the Executive Director of the Caregiver Support Program, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to our volunteer caregivers who serve as Peer Mentors in the Peer Support Mentoring Program (PSM). Your selfless dedication and support inspire fellow caregivers on similar journeys, offering vital guidance and understanding that only firsthand experience can provide.

This year’s National Volunteer Week, theme is "Celebrate Service," spotlighting your impactful contributions. Your volunteerism empowers caregivers to navigate their journeys with purpose, fostering meaningful change within the caregiving community.

To our Peer Support Mentors, your positive influence is undeniable. Through PSM, you cultivate special relationships, provide networking opportunities, and empower caregivers to support each other and thrive. Your willingness to share your stories and offer hope is deeply appreciated, as your caregiving experience is a priceless gift to fellow caregivers, providing understanding and solidarity.

Your dedication serves as an inspiration, and we extend our sincerest thanks during week. Please know how much we appreciate your invaluable contributions.
